'Sunflowers, North Yorkshire, 2023'
Vincent van Gogh was inspired to paint his 'The Starry Night' (1889) after viewing Hokusai's The Great Wave (1829–33). Van Gogh is a constant source of inspiration and 'Sunflowers, North Yorkshire' was created to pay homage to the great master. The entire horizon line of sunflowers is inspired by the twirls found in 'The Starry Night' and 'The Great Wave'.
